By Any Means Necessary

So it's been a hot minute since I've posted here.  There really isn't much I've done artistically since 2018 tbh XD It's just been a rough brain period that I'm really trying to push through... so here's something I did for my twitch recently :P

Every time I look at it I get a little less satisfied with it LUL.  So, I might end up going back to it to fix the shading.  Shading and I got a lot of beef.  But!  This is a self portrait, because I guess it's now my brand to pick up pallets in Dead by Daylight now X'D

Throwback WiP - Eternal Darkness

I found this lost in my big art folder and I'm honestly impressed at how well I was doing for 5/19/2013.  Like, I even got Alex's figure down pretty well and the hands...I think I do hands worse than I used to lol.  I love the magickal circle too.  I was doing the effects nicely... and to think, I hated this back when I was doing it, which is why I never finished :/

Maybe eventually I'll go back to it.  Or maybe I'll just redo most of it entirely XD

Speed Paint: Anika's Dead By Daylight Attire

It's been a long time since I've made one of these and this one took at least three pieces of my shattered soul to produce. :'D Please enjoy, give feedback, but be gentle with me I'm fragile lol

OBS recorded in .flv and window movie maker couldn't fuckin fathom the file type, so I went in search of a way to convert the three very large videos.  I downloaded/installed a codec which ended up wrecking three programs prompting me to immediately assume it was malware and uninstall it.  Then I proceeded to figure out what to do to fix the three programs for three hours.

I lost my Firefox profile, got a headache trying to figure out why Discord wasn't properly uninstalling, panicked over my system restores failing twice (still worried about that one), and straight up ditched OneDrive because it kept opening the folder upon startup and there seemed to be no fix in sight.

All this just to find out VLC converts file types :'D  Which then took probably three more hours or so to do.  Followed by cautious and terrifying handpicking of the royalty free music.  Kill me.

Summertime Anika

I’m doing a whole sheet for Anika’s style choices and I almost didn’t submit this on that basis (like, you’ll see it again in the lineup), but I spent so much damn time on this, worked so hard, and it looks really nice, so I found a brush I didn’t know I had and slapped together a background for this. :P  Looks good transparent tho, but yea.

Feel like I found a good spot in colouring this time.  I don’t completely hate it haha

WiP - Summer Anika (2)

Finally doing this.  Working with a harder brush at the moment, but I’ll probably go in after a while to do more of a softer blend…at least on the highlights lol

Also, when you done with the lineart and suddenly want to put large fishnet leggings and boots on her /vibrates (and most likely will be a pain in the ass and do it)

Edit: Fuck it, I did it xD;  Slave over nice feet and toes just to pull this shit lol

WiP - Wiebke Still Hasn't Starved

This has been sitting around waiting to be finished forever and tbh it's not done lol.  I have a background in the works for it, but I don't wanna do it right now, so enjoy Wiebke showing up transparent.  She still looks nice. <3

Just gotta prove to myself that I can still scrawl out my Pseudo-Don't-Starve style from back in ye olden days of rping this girly.

Found this while scrolling through my DevArt gallery today O:  Was using it as an example of how "plasticky" my hair used to come out sometimes and to show how my clothing skills have improved. :P  Was surprised at how much I actually like it despite everything wrong with it.  Like her expression is perfect. <3

For once, I actually prefer the painted finished product to the sketch...

I'm really sorry about how shitty these doors came out.  I know I can do better, but nothing was working out and I just didn't have the time to figure out how to make them nicer. :/ Fuckin awful and frustrating lol

Also half-assed gradient background engage PFT but it looks awful on the white and with the legs cut off it's awkward to be transparent whatever I guess.

Let's hope our one-year gift turns out a lot better than this hahahahaha

The Latest Valentine's Day Gift Ever

Harakka (or "magpie" in Finnish) is Naali's husband.  I've been working on this piece for longer than it should have taken me, but I was using a hugely different brush and style, so I was pretty uncertain about it.  Taking a lot of inspirations from the Darkest Dungeon style, thought a lot grittier and dirtier (intended).

It's actually the latest Valentine's day gift on the face of the earth too. :D  I was visiting my beb in Finland during the actual day of Valentine's, so I wasn't connected with any of my tools for digital stuff.  I had to plan it for my return and with how far departed from my normal style it is, it took me longer than I would've liked. ;3;  But it is done and he said he loved it, so tentative success! <3

Portrait - Magda Lis

So when I mentioned a Magda portrait, this is more along the lines of what I had in mind. P:  It's so damn bright, but she loses the albino look if I darken anything so rip everyone's eyes lol

I'm moderately pleased with this, I guess...wish I could fine-tune some of the little details I can't seem to get. :I  I really need a better brush for this kind of thing...meeeh.

Regardless, enjoy my babe <3  She is my little girl, I love her so much aahhhh~

In Maggie's Loving Memory

My birthday gift and contest entry for Heichukar~  We were to pick one of her OCs and do a piece of them. <3  I'd been meaning to do a Corien one for quite some time now, and this became a good opportunity for it. :P  So, super happy birthday to you!  I hope you like it and it lives up to Corien standards ;P

Slowly but surely I've been piecing this together of the past three-ish weeks -- and then as fast as possible over the last one lol.  The beginning stages were rough, I couldn't quite get my eye on something I liked - then this came out of nowhere. :3    Armed with many Bloodborne references and a personal lore-keeper, I got in many little things to add a good finish.  Wooo~

My hand almost fell off when I did each individual leaf behind the grave ;____;  I knew it would be hellish lol  BUT I DID IT, AW JE

It's quite possibly The Best and Most Complete Thing I've Done For Years™ lol

Sometimes, I forget how crazy it can get...yikes. Not supposed to be an actual good piece, just punching through artblock as best I can. :|  It's really bad the past two-ish week.

Drunken Redraw

I was sipping on some rum + dr. pepper last night while in Don't Starve with buddies.  After we'd finished up for the night an old friend of mine on deviantart mentioned old Condemned OCs and my girl Jackie enabled the fuck out of my idea to redraw so...here's the drunk version. XD

I say "drunk version" because there will be a sober version, but yea...it's not done yet.  As you can see, I couldn't be fucked to trim off how the places where the canvas was bigger than the original image pft.

Honestly, not bad for being drunk.  I did already start the sober version, and it's quite a bit departed from the original (wanted a better perspective, this one just gave me too much shit).  Look back on this now though, I'm considering just going over this one (new lineart, better painting, etc).

We'll see what I eventually end up with, lol.

Anyway, this was only gonna be Magda and Illian, but damnit Oliver just wanted to be there too so here he is <3 The contrast between the three of them pleases me so so much.

I also own Mag's shirt lol  The designs are tiny trees casting colourful shadows and I love it so much.
