Funny how the hardest part about making these has quickly become finding copyright free music for them lo.  The video itself was done the same day I posted the drawing, but it took me that long to find music I liked and could use :'D  Amazing.

WiP - Another Summer Outfit For Anika

I have recently become hyper-fixated on a certain character from a certain game and how does Lisi deal with hyper-fixation???  Put one of my OCs in direct conflict with them lol.  So thoughts about their interactions got me to dumping some sketches out, as much.

What even are legs, I'll never know... aaahhh

Started with this one, clearly, because the most static pose is usually where I start.  I'm trying to really get her bottom-heaviness, because I intended for her to be more pear-shaped in contrast to a lot of my tiny, sylph-y girls...

And then I feel like I really got that down when I poured a piece of my soul into this one.  I liked the sketch from the start, even if I'm still queasy about the leg proportions. xD  Also I like the hair, of course...and shirt~

Speed Paint: Anika's Dead By Daylight Attire

It's been a long time since I've made one of these and this one took at least three pieces of my shattered soul to produce. :'D Please enjoy, give feedback, but be gentle with me I'm fragile lol

OBS recorded in .flv and window movie maker couldn't fuckin fathom the file type, so I went in search of a way to convert the three very large videos.  I downloaded/installed a codec which ended up wrecking three programs prompting me to immediately assume it was malware and uninstall it.  Then I proceeded to figure out what to do to fix the three programs for three hours.

I lost my Firefox profile, got a headache trying to figure out why Discord wasn't properly uninstalling, panicked over my system restores failing twice (still worried about that one), and straight up ditched OneDrive because it kept opening the folder upon startup and there seemed to be no fix in sight.

All this just to find out VLC converts file types :'D  Which then took probably three more hours or so to do.  Followed by cautious and terrifying handpicking of the royalty free music.  Kill me.

[Bloodborne] CHOIR Magda Lis - first look LINEART

Magda is super smol so this Choir garb looks kinda funny on her lol. It's also missing a lot of the more intricate detailing, like on the hems and whatnot. Needless to say my hand really hurts 😂

Dead By Daylight Anika

Anika in her DeadByDaylight iteration. Since I've been playing with a buncha DbD blogs on Anika's RP blog and it was necessary. Now looking at this, there should've been a bloodied version for her prestige reward lol.

But! The reason there's two is because I wanted to really show what that neat shirt is like. It's one of my personal favourites to wear, though it's lacking some designs on the hood. It's a cyberdog piece 😉

Look-Alike OC Comparison - Višnja & Nika

The first thing I've properly arted in a long while.  Who knew I'd hit a mega depressive episode after getting married and moving to Finland, huh?

Anyway, I often have this paranoid thought in my head due to a lot of negative feedback from people I shouldn't be listening to that I'm just a piece of shit who can't make unique characters... so when I hit a giant S.T.A.L.K.E.R. mood and had to draw Višnja, I considered how she and Nika are quite similar - same basic concepts like the long, dark, messy hair, light coloured eyes, usually wearing their hair in a braid down the back, among other things.  I figured this could be a nice exercise for me, especially since I haven't been drawing much at all.

And I just plain needed to really sit down and put work into Višnja's details, because even though it's very clear in my head, it isn't anywhere in physical form.  Everything on Nika's side is from 2014, from a comparison sheet with two other OCs.  Good to see the only thing that's evolved all these years is my handwriting lol.

WiP - Anika's Main Outfit

Two sketch versions later, I have the first draft of Anika's main outfit.  Obviously still needs quite a bit of work, but I'm still pleased.  It's the best her jacket's come out so far, same for her skirt.  Her leggings and boots are giving me hell.

Unfortunately I've been experiencing a lot of problems with my tablet's drivers lately, so that on top of how long it's been since I've utilised my tablet has clearly left me a bit shaky and rusty.  I don't plan on that being for too long though.

Happy Hallowe'en & Merry Samhain

Done much earlier than Samhain, but it was Samhain inspired - as well as inspired by the hoodie my bro has promised to get me for Yule.  I am that excited about receiving it. XD

As you can see, I busted out a golden marker for the moon, although I wish I'd have gone a little more outside my comfort zone and did a gold watercolour for it.  I hate seeing all those strokes.  But I already went quite out of my zone for the lines - I rarely line anything in ink anymore, but I think I'm pretty pleased with it.  Despite liking my pencil work as it is more often. :P

And as of recently, Anika's last name is Kivinen.  She's a Finnish with and spooky girl after the rework.  I like to think of her as a selective way to practice what Finnish I learn pft.

Summertime Anika

I’m doing a whole sheet for Anika’s style choices and I almost didn’t submit this on that basis (like, you’ll see it again in the lineup), but I spent so much damn time on this, worked so hard, and it looks really nice, so I found a brush I didn’t know I had and slapped together a background for this. :P  Looks good transparent tho, but yea.

Feel like I found a good spot in colouring this time.  I don’t completely hate it haha

Finally doing this.  Working with a harder brush at the moment, but I’ll probably go in after a while to do more of a softer blend…at least on the highlights lol

Also, when you done with the lineart and suddenly want to put large fishnet leggings and boots on her /vibrates (and most likely will be a pain in the ass and do it)

WiP - New Edge Girl to Torture

Based on this old thing from last year, if anyone remembers that. P:  I've clearly got more in mind for her wardrobe than her actual looks lmfao.  I can't decide on her eye shape beneath all that damn makeup.  I'll get there, it'll just take time to get through the aesthetic first PFT.

She is still unnamed.  I'm taking suggestions.  I have no idea what I'm even looking for in this regard...so we'll see.

I initially considered re-purposing Magda for this, but this character is meant to be a much different kind of personality, so that would have meant completely scrapping all of Magda's stuff and I've already put a lot of love into that, so...time to commit to something entirely new.

Delayed Sketchbook Pieces

Excuse the long disappearance, I made another journey to Finland to see my lovely magpie~  I missed my drawing tablet and my scanner so much. xD  Had many moments of getting the itch to sketch and only had my sketchbook.  Some ideas just aren't for traditional medium though...I'm sure we'll see some of those belated ideas in the rest of the month or so.

However, I do have a few finished pieces from my sketchbook that I'm relatively proud of. :>

WiP - Višnja Lusk Reference

I hope to have this and her official file done within the week. >:I  Don't let my depression destroy my muse like it has been lately aaaghh..  I have so much to do before my trip and I can't even bring myself to start >.<

I'm much more pleased with the coat now that I've referenced the original coat I was inspired by instead of trying to half-ass it from memory lol.  Also waaay better gun holster on the leg.  Yes yes.

Next I give her the big gun >:3  Stay tuned <3  And hopefully some colour will happen...

Sketch Dump - Višnja Lusk

Recent conversations and a cool new website have led me to dig deep within my OC pit and pull out ancient dear ones.  For a while I was fixated on Nika, because she among my longest running and favourite OCs. ♥

But then there's the underappreciated Višnja Lusk~  I was still pretty terrible at art when I was drawing for her, so I'm rather happy with my recent throwback to her. :)  Her face looks much more like I imagined it initially, now that I have some ability to render it.

I plan to do much more of her, as this isn't her full/normal outfit. I just wanted to nail down her physique and whatnot. :P I'm really happy with her hair, I used to hate it because of how flat it always came out, bleh. Can't wait to put the big gun back in her hands too. ;)
